Our Homeschool Curriculum 2016-2017

School is back in session after a seemingly quick summer break! With so many big changes for our family this summer, it seemed to go by even faster!

Before I ever start planning my year out, I always make sure I have my homeschool planner! The Well Planned Day is a great planner for homeschooling moms! I have used it for the last three years and can’t be without it!

Here is what we are using for curriculum this year. I now have a 4th grader, 2nd grader, and a Pre-Kindergartener!

4th Grade:

Math U See Gamma

Spelling You See Wild Tales/Americana

Apologia Flying Creatures of the 5th Day

Story of the World Volume 2

Handwriting without Tears Cursive Success and Keyboarding Without Tears

Beautiful Feet California State History

2nd Grade:

Math U See Alpha

Spelling You See Jack and Jill/Wild Tales

Handwriting without Tears Printing Power

Story of the World Volume 2

Apologia Flying Creatures of the 5th Day

Pre-K:

Five in a Row Volume 1

Handwriting Without Tears

Story of the World Volume 2

In addition to our curriculum mentioned above, we have joined Classical Conversations which will cover science, history, Bible, public speaking, fine art, and more! I am confident than we have a well rounded curriculum this year that facilitates independent learning along with group learning.

My homeschool style this year includes Unit Studies and Classical Education with a Charlotte Mason emphasis! I am looking forward to learning alongside my children this year and seeing them continue to develop a love for learning!
